Product Updates in May

We've released a big update to the weather modeling in Shoresim™, now with support for multiple weather locations and wind data at several reference heights

Weather is one of the most crucial variables in a wind farm, and the precision of the results is often very dependent on your weather criteria and weather data.

The weather data capabilities of Shoresim™ has been taken to a new level with the support for multiple weather locations and wind data at several reference heights.

On bases and wind farm asset groups you can add weather specific for that asset group or base, as shown above. For example, every time a vessel loads out from a base it will use the weather specified for that base. For accessing for example a wind turbine the weather relevant for that wind turbine is used.

To add wind speed data for more reference heights make sure you have the data in the same weather file as a separate column. It's as easy as just selecting wind speed as the category for additional columns and specifying the reference height for each. During the simulation the algorithm will select the closest data and use that to extrapolate to the relevant reference height.

Weather data is now available in the Input Library as well from the dashboard, where you can upload weather data that is shared with your whole team and can be used for all your teams projects.

Weather settings for your project has been moved to the simulation controls, to make it easier to disable weather or select randomized or incremented weather for a case.
